## Weby.cash Terms of Service **Effective Date: April 14, 2026** ### Separation of Services weby.cash and webcash.org are separate, unrelated services operated by different parties. weby.cash is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by webcash.org. **weby.cash provides:** - The webycash-sdk (software development kit for webcash protocol integration) - Developer documentation and guides - A testnet server for development and testing - Developer tools and CLI (webylib, webyc) **webcash.org** is the production webcash protocol server. It is NOT run, operated, or maintained by weby.cash. Any interaction with webcash.org is governed by its own terms of service. ### Software License All software provided by weby.cash, including webycash-sdk, webylib, webyc, and webycash-server, is distributed under the MIT License and provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. ### Testnet The weby.cash testnet is an experimental environment for development and testing purposes only. Testnet webcash has no monetary value. The testnet may be reset, modified, or taken offline at any time without notice. Users may use the testnet for development with the webycash-sdk. ### Webcash Protocol Webcash is experimental technology. The webcash protocol, including both the production server at webcash.org and the weby.cash testnet, involves bearer e-cash: whoever holds the secret `e…:secret:…` string can spend it. That is inherently risky: if you lose the secret, the value is permanently lost. If a secret is exposed to a third party, they can spend it. ### Disclaimer of Liability weby.cash, its operators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for: - Any loss of funds or webcash arising from the use of webcash, webycash-sdk, or any related software - How users choose to use the software, SDK, or protocol - Any damages arising from bugs, vulnerabilities, or errors in the software - The actions or inactions of webcash.org or any third-party webcash server - Network failures, data loss, or service interruptions - Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages ### Assumption of Risk By using any software, tools, or services provided by weby.cash, you acknowledge and accept: - Webcash is experimental and may contain undiscovered bugs or vulnerabilities - Bearer webcash secrets can be permanently lost if mishandled - The value of webcash is not guaranteed and may be zero - No party is obligated to provide support, updates, or maintenance - You are solely responsible for securing your wallet and secret strings ### No Warranties THE SOFTWARE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WEBY.CASH MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SOFTWARE, SDK, TESTNET, DOCUMENTATION, OR ANY RELATED SERVICES.
